In an attempt to be less judgmental & angry in my daily dealings with other people in a city where everyone is in a hurry & can get pretty rude it has become necessary to gain some perspective and empathy for those responsible when I am getting cut off, run off the road, told to get on the sidewalk, & walked in front of or off the bike observing general self serving rudeness .
That’s when I realized that these people unwilling to give an inch of their road to a cyclist or the time of day to a stranger aren’t bad people, they just have their own agenda, they are all Different But Alright Guys (or Gals). It feels good to let go of the hate and just let the d.b.a.g.s. be, & hope they realize that I’m just a d.b.a.g. too, and to hurt me with their huge car or inattention would really make them a huge douche bag!
