Odd needs

You’ve got to ride a bit of everything to get to really know what the demands of a cycle product may be. I pretty much live on my bike, my needs for general transportation, sport, and social conveyance are all met by a bicycle. I have specific purpose bikes made for terrain, at some point though all of them are pressed into service as something else. Ride the mountain bike to work, haul groceries on the road bike, use the cross bike as a hammer etc. it all happens and for the most part the purpose specific bike does fine outside of the element it was designed for.
Lately my need for easy amusement has been met by playing bike polo, so far the road, cross, track, and Mtb’s that I’ve built for myself have taken to the hockey court as I’ve avoided collisions and chased a ball mallet in hand. The bikes all do fine but the abuse of polo and the strange demands of riding one handed into tight turn scenarios has me thinking of the spec of the purpose specific bike for this task.

Seems one of the first places to start is with the bar. Thanks to all the folks of Boston Bike Polo that show up every Sunday for giving me something new to think about.
