“High Five to Back Slide” (or) POLO bike market study, Join the Discussion

I play bike polo every once in a while on whatever  bike I happen to be riding at the time which is almost always one that is inappropriate to treat so destructively.  I am on the hook to get a polo specific frame made as the tournament MVP prize for this January’s Winter Lockdown indoor tournament and am looking for ideas to make this into more than another one off custom bike.  Here is the thread starter that I am hoping will get me some useful feed back from the local Boston Bike Polo Forum.

“Time is upon me to make the MVP prize frame for the Winter Lockdown and things are coming together with the help of Jarret to get my production capacity into the 20th century allowing for the potential of making many bikes alike at the same time, amazing.

I’ll be ordering some super strong True Temper Supertherm BMX tubing and aiming for a very adaptable compact frame design based on clearance for MTB tires and wheels that will still accept a 700c and run single speed/fixed with the appropriate hub with a quick handling front end that would slacken out and allow this to be a sturdy little trail bike if any of you street urchins ever get the itch to put a suspension fork on it to get into the forest.

The geometry that I am shooting for will be compatible with a stock mass manufactured fork from surly or On-One. The more people that can commit to a frame with a deposit of substance the closer I can get to making a production frame that I can sell a lot more afford ably than a one off custom. I would like to have the introductory Beta Production run in intensive testing by you psychos, so talk to me. What would you people want out of a polo/urban destruction frame, what could you think of paying for one.

I don’t get on to the forum much so if you have anything to say about this feel free to post it here but get any serious inquiries or suggestions to me at my e-mail, buddbikes@gmail.com”

There more and more folks that are able to get over taking themselves seriously to have some serious fun playing polo lately, I’d love hear what more of them think.
