Sofa King Psyched (or) #23, out of its element in all it’s nude glory.

I bribed my sleep deprived cousin(proud BBW owner of #20) with a delivered coffee to step out of the architecture office and into the perfect, golden, fall afternoon light to snap a few pictures of my newly finished trail bike on Monday. It was like christmas had been postponed indeterminably checking my e-mail for these every day since. My cousin finally got a break at the architecture firm long enough to send these, a just out of school architect that actually has a place to go to work in today’s job market has to sit at their desk pretty much 24-7 to keep someone else from sliding into their chair, brutal what someone will go through to really do what they want for a living.

I’ve since upgraded the brakes and gotten some of the loaner parts on it replaced, awaiting the rigid fork from Igleheart that will allow me to ride this with a 29’er front wheel to roll over everything and get rid of the chunkiness and complexity of the front suspension. Not that the cushy fork isn’t nice but for the same reason that I grow a beard, won’t shave my legs, or date girls in fancy clothes I don’t feel like owning one without a back up, taking on another maintenence load just isn’t worth the trouble. The Shimano SLX disc brakes I just got feel so good that I won’t mind bleeding them when the time comes & they share the bars perfectly with the old faithful 8spd(the eighth click was secret) XT thumb shifters.
